Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Kodo is an aftermarket parts e-commerce platform operated as a middleman between you and the manufacturers/distributors we source from. We list parts, take payment, and coordinate fulfillment. We are not the manufacturer of any part shown unless explicitly stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Any payment method you use must be your own. Re-sellers and bulk buyers should contact us before placing large orders; we reserve the right to limit quantities.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything done under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Orders, pricing, and fitment

• Listed prices are in USD and exclude shipping and any applicable taxes/duties. Taxes for orders shipping to California are computed at checkout.
• Fitment data is sourced from manufacturer documentation and community contribution. We make best efforts, but you are ultimately responsible for verifying a part fits your specific vehicle and modification state before installation.
• We may correct pricing or inventory errors at any time. If a listed price was clearly wrong, we'll cancel and refund the order rather than honor the mistake.
• Acceptance happens when we charge your payment method, not when you click Submit.

5. Shipping

Shipping rates, carriers, and timelines are described on the Shipping Policy. International buyers are responsible for customs duties, VAT, and any local import fees.

6. Returns and refunds

See the Returns Policy for eligibility windows, condition requirements, and refund timing by payment method. Defective-on-arrival parts and our-fault shipping errors are covered at our cost; change-of-mind returns are at your cost minus original outbound shipping.

7. Reviews and user content

Reviews on Kodo are limited to verified buyers. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and quote it on Kodo and in Kodo's marketing. Don't submit anything you don't own the rights to, and don't submit anything that would defame a real person or company.

8. Promo codes and discounts

Promotional codes are issued at our discretion, have no cash value, can't be combined unless explicitly stated, and may be revoked if abused (fraud, multi-account stacking, reseller activity).

9. Intellectual property

The Kodo wordmark, logo mark, site copy, layout, and code are ours. Manufacturer logos and product names belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the parts we sell. Nothing on this site constitutes a sponsorship by, or affiliation with, any manufacturer unless stated.

10. Acceptable use

Don't scrape the catalog at scale, attempt to bypass auth or rate limits, reverse-engineer the site, or use Kodo to transact in ways that violate any applicable export, sanctions, or anti-money-laundering law. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

11. Performance and racing parts

Many parts sold on Kodo are intended for off-road or competition use only and are not certified for street operation in every jurisdiction (e.g., CARB EO requirements in California). Where this applies it is noted on the product page. You are responsible for confirming legality of any part in your jurisdiction before installation.

12. Disclaimers and liability

Kodo is provided "as is". We don't warrant that fitment data, manufacturer documentation, or third-party reviews are free from error. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Kodo after a change constitutes acceptance.
